HR Specialist

Overview of the HR Specialist role

We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful HR Specialist to join our HR Department in our HQ in Cork. This individual will play a pivotal role in the talent acquisition process, supporting recruitment efforts across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. Additionally, they will assist with various HR tasks, providing critical support to the HR Manager and senior management where needed.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including posting job advertisements, screening applications, conducting initial interviews and coordinating with department heads for final stages.
  • Act as the SME for HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate interviews, both virtual and in-person, for candidates across multiple regions (Ireland, UK, Europe and USA).
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for new and departing employees.
  • Assist in maintaining employee records, HR systems and ensuring compliance with regional HR regulations.
  • Provide support to the HR Manager and senior management, such as preparing reports, forecasting issues and preparing business cases.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand talent needs and timelines.
  • Handle HR-related queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree or strong background in Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes.
  • Enthusiasm for working with people and fostering positive relationships.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work in an agile environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to tasks.
  • Knowledge of HR practices across multiple regions is a plus.
  • Cybersecurity experience is an advantage but not required.
  • CIPD qualification desirable.
